Messer forms joint venture with Quanhui Petrochemical Park in China

The JV, Fujian Quanhui Messer Gas Co Ltd will invest in gas production facilities to provide gases to petrochemical companies in the park as well as surrounding markets.

SHANGHAI, CHINA: On August 1, Messer Group formed a joint venture with Quanhui Petrochemical industrial park at the Meizhouwan petrochemical base, Fujian. The new company Fujian Quanhui Messer Gas Co Ltd will invest into gas production facilities to provide complete industrial gas services to the petrochemical companies in the park as well as to the merchant customers in the surrounding markets.

The entry into Fujian market, especially reaching cooperation with a petrochemical park represents a major milestone for Messer in south China. “Messer is planning a big step forward in the expansion of its business in South China market, especially in Hunan, Guangdong and Fujian. We will focus more than before on chemical industry, metal processing, environmental protection, food, electronics and specialty gas field,” said Stefan Messer, CEO, Messer group, during the groundbreaking ceremony for Messer’s new production site in Shunde Industrial Park in Guangdong province in May.
