The Lanigan mine will not operate between September 15 and October 13 (nearly a month).
SASKATOON, CANADA: PotashCorp has announced an inventory related shutdown for it’s Lanigan mine. Consistent with PotashCorp’s practice of matching supply with market demand, notice was given to employees that the Lanigan mine will not operate between September 15 and October 13 (nearly a month). PotashCorp informed that this time period sees lower demand and that it has enough stock to fill orders if demand increases. The Lanigan mine, produces nearly 3.3 million tonne of potash per year.
