Aniline is an organic compound. Aniline was first isolated by destructive distillation of indigo by Otto Unverdorben. Aniline is the prototypical aromatic amine. Its main use is in the manufacture of precursors to polyurethane. Aniline is mainly produced in industry in two steps from benzene. First, benzene is nitrated using a concentrated mixture of nitric acid and sulfuric acid at 50 to 60 °C, which gives nitrobenzene. In the second step, the nitrobenzene is hydrogenated, typically at 200–300 °C in presence of various metal catalysts. Aniline reacts with carboxylic acids or more readily with acyl chlorides such as acetyl chloride to give amides. Aniline and its ring-substituted derivatives react with nitrous acid to form diazonium salts. It reacts with nitrobenzene to produce phenazine in the Wohl-Aue reaction.
Ionol LC is a phenolic antioxidant for stabilizing natural and synthetic rubber and latex. It is a butylated reaction product of p-cresol and dicyclopentadiene and its appearance is light to cream-colored powder or yellowish to beige flakes.
Antiox-SP is a mixture of mono-di-tri styrenated phenols. It is a widely used general purpose, non-staining antioxidant. Antiox-SP is also an excellent starting material for ethoxylates for use as emulsifiers in pesticide applications.
Malay SN1 is a stiffer Antioxidant for low cost application. Malay SN1 is insoluble in water, doesn't contain bad odour.
2-Naphthol is an isomer of 1-naphthol, differing by the location of the hydroxyl group on naphthalene. The naphthols are naphthalene homologues of phenol, with the hydroxyl group being more reactive than in the phenols. They can be used in the production of dyes and in organic synthesis. It is also used in making pigments, fluorescent whiteners, tanning agents, antioxidants, and antiseptics.
ACMENOX BL is a liquid antigradant and its addition in rubber compounds imparts better processing characteristics essential for extrusion and calendaring operations. ACMENOX BL being a liquid, enhances the tack and tack retention of rubber compounds and provides advantages of consistency of viscosity essential for dimensional control. Usage of it provides good ageing properties in finished rubber products and enhance life and reliability of the products in actual service.
Cristol-SP is a stabilizer for synthetic elastomers as well as a medium activity non-staining, non-discoloring antioxidant for latex and solid rubber formulations. It is a general-purpose antioxidant providing oxidation resistance and moderate heat aging resistance properties to NR, and to SBR, NBR, IR, BR and CR. It has excellent colour stability and is widely used in white and light coloured applications such as flooring, sporting goods, shoe soles, general mechanical goods, latex and carpet backing. It may reduce surface “crazing” caused by UV light degradation. It may be used alone or in combination with other antioxidants for the stabilization of synthetic elastomers.
Wingstay L is a highly effective antioxidant that can be used directly, or after being pre-dispersed or emulsified for latex applications. Wingstay L offers excellent protection against oxygen attack and prevents product degradation and discoloration during processing and storage.
Octolite WL is non-staining, non-discoloring in performance and provides highly efficient stabilization and antioxidant protection in ABS, synthetic and natural latex polymers against the effects of heat, ultraviolet light and oxidation.
WESTCO 6PPD is used mainly in the manufacture of tires, rubber shoes and other technical goods. It is a very effective antioxidant and antiozonant for NR and SR. It provides protection against flex cracking and heat aging. It provides excellent incorporation and easy handling.
