Cadmium Oxide is an inorganic compound. It is one of the main precursors to other cadmium compounds. It crystallizes in a cubic rock salt lattice like sodium chloride, with octahedral cation and anion centers. It is produced by burning elemental cadmium in air. Cadmium oxide is used in cadmium plating baths, electrodes for storage batteries, cadmium salts, catalyst, ceramic glazes, phosphors, and nematocide, used as an ingredient for electroplating baths, pigments, transparent conductive material. It is also used as chemical raw material for glass and ceramic industry.
Calcium oxide is also called as quicklime or burnt lime. It is a widely used chemical compound. Calcium oxide is a white, caustic, alkaline, crystalline solid at room temperature. Calcium oxide is usually made by the thermal decomposition of materials such as limestone, or seashells, that contain calcium carbonate in a lime kiln.It is prepared by heating calcium carbonate in a special lime kiln to about 500°C to 600°C, decomposing it into the oxide and carbon dioxide. Calcium oxide is widely used in industry.Calcium oxide is a basic anhydride, reacting with water to form calcium hydroxide.
Covergloss XG is a fine, steep coating kaolin that results in improved ink set rates leading to improved print gloss/quality, superior optics and similar sheet gloss compared to ultra fine glossing clays.
Lead monoxide is an inorganic compound. It is produced on a large scale as an intermediate in the conversion of lead ores, mainly galena into metallic lead. The consumption of lead, and hence the processing of PbO, correlates with the number of automobiles because it remains the key component of automotive lead-acid batteries. It is used extensively in manufacturing of lead glasses and ceramic glazes as well as in fine dinnerware. Other less dominating applications include the vulcanization of rubber and the production of certain pigments and paints. It is used in cathode ray tube glass to block X-ray emission, but mainly in the neck and funnel because it can cause discoloration when used in the faceplate. Strontium oxide is preferred for the faceplate. PbO is used in certain condensation reactions in organic synthesis.
Lithium oxide is an inorganic chemical compound. It is used as a flux in ceramic glazes, and creates blues with copper and pinks with cobalt. Its usage is also being investigated for non-destructive emission spectroscopy evaluation and degradation monitoring within thermal barrier coating systems. It can be added as a co-dopant with yttria in the zirconia ceramic top coat, without a large decrease in expected service life of the coating. At high heat, lithium oxide emits a very detectable spectral pattern, which increases in intensity along with degradation of the coating. Implementation would allow in situ monitoring of such systems, enabling an efficient means to predict lifetime until failure or necessary maintenance. A possible new use is as a replacement for lithium cobalt oxide as the cathode in the lithium ion batteries used to power electronic devices from mobile phones to laptop computers to battery-powered cars.
Molybdic Acid is the hydrated forms of molybdenum trioxide. It is used for the determination of phosphorus or phosphate and lead. It is also used in glazes for ceramics, in manufacturing of Rock Phosphate based Fertilizers, Pigments, Dyes, Colors etc.
TENACEL BS 40 is a polyethilene glycol. It is used as plasticizer/lubricant for pressing ceramic body.
VISCOLAM 1116 is a synthetic polymer in water emulsion. It is a liquid thickener used for printing of soluble colours for porcellanato tiles.
Zinc selenite is used for decolorizing container glass.
Lead Silicate is used as chemical raw material for glass and ceramic industry.
