Potassium silicate

Potassium silicate is one of silicic acid salts with chemical formula K2SiO. Potassium silicate is a glass industry product obtained by thermal effect on mixture of potassium carbonate and quartz sand. Main fields of application are welding electrodes production, paint industry, soaps, detergents manufacturing, and others. Homogeneous, transparent, shapeless pieces without mechanical inclusions visible to the naked eye, with shades of light green, green, dark green, light blue, blue, yellow or colorless. After the lumps dissolving, the shades neutralize and you obtain transparent liquid glass. Gas inclusions are acceptable. Upon customer?s request, it is possible to produce silicates with silica modulus 2, 70 - 4, 30.

Calcined alumina is generally used in the manufacture of high-grade ceramic shapes, refractories and fused alumina abrasives. It can be compressed to produce a fired density of 3.8 or more. Amazingly, ceramic bodies containing 95% or more alumina are being employed to produce ceramic parts for a wide range industries (fired to 1400C or more). Fabrication methods and glazing vary according to application.


Alumina has a very high melting temperature (about 2000C) and alumina ceramics can maintain up to 90% of their strength above 1100C. They are thus employed in many refractory materials (i.e. Calcium Aluminate Cements have PCEs above cone 35) and used to make parts that must withstand high temperature.

Sodium Carboxymethyl Starch (CMS) Purified

SODIUM CARBOXYMETHYL STARCH (CMS or SCMS) is a starch ether derivative derived from starch. It is soluble in water at room temperature and forms a transparent to light milky and viscous solution.

CMS is an important modified starch with unique properties due to the presence of negatively charged functional group (CH2COO-). The introduction of carboxymethyl groups interrupts the ordered structure of native starch and intervenes with the re-association of gelatinized starch. This modification yields starch with decreased gelatinization temperature, increased solubility and improved storage stability.

CMS is chemically processed carbohydrate typically derived from Native starch viz. Maize, Potato, Tapioca & Rice.

These Sodium Carboxy Methyl starch and solution are alkaline in nature and have the capacity to replace sodium car-boxy methyl cellulose in fields like textile sizing and printing, corrugated paper, paper sizing, oil well drilling, water based distemper, oil bound distemper, electrodes, ceramics, pesticides, foundry, adhesives and others.
