Talc powder is a white or gray-colored inorganic powder with a smooth layer, obtained by pulverizing talc ore. Talc has a specific gravity of 2.7~2.8, the Mohs hardness is 1, and the chemical name is hydrous magnesium silicate (Mg3Si4O10(OH)2). Talc is the lowest hardness of all the inorganic minerals.
With its lubrication, anti-stick, a flow aid, acid resistance, insulation resistance, high melting point, chemical inertness, hiding powder, excellent heat resistance and good chemical stability, can be used as filler in many industry.
Main Applications of Talc:
1.Plastic and Resin:Filler, for improving rigidity, heat resistance and dimensional stability during molding. Electrical insulation, Mat, reducing combustion heat.
2.Paints: automotive paint, powder paint, extender pigment, and leak preventive.
3.Rubber: For improving heat resistance and dimensional stability during molding. Reinforcing agent, remover.
4. Wire and cable: used in rubber fortifier and Cable separant.
5. Cosmetics: used in foundation makeup, baby powder, eye shadow and lipstick.
6. Ceramics: used in Ceramic glaze, Ceramic outer sheath, poetry for soapstone.
7. Paper making and paper pulp: used in fillers, pitch control agent, and coating agent.
8.Agriculture: carrier for agricultural chemicals, coagulation prevention agent.
9. Electronic components: Circuit board, article, resist ink, adhesive.
