Dimethyl Carbonate

Dimethyl Carbonate is a solvent of both extraction and reaction used in many industries, pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, hydrocarbon refinery, paint and coatings and fragrances etc. It is used as a methylation and carbonylation agent in organic synthesis and as a fuel and lube additive.

Properties Suppliers
Dimethyl Chlorendate

Dimethyl chlorendate is a chlorendic acid used as a flame retardant additive.

Properties Suppliers
Dimethyl Ethanolamine

Dimethyl ethanolamine is an organic compound. It is used as a curing agent for polyurethanes and epoxy resins. It is also used in mass quantities for water treatment, and to some extent in the coatings industry. It is used in the synthesis of dyestuffs, textile auxiliaries, pharmaceuticals, emulsifiers, and corrosion inhibitors. It is also an additive to paint removers, boiler water and amino resins. It forms a number of salts with melting points below room temperature (ionic liquids) such as N,N-dimethylethanolammonium acetate and N,N-dimethylethanolammonium octanoate, which have been used as alternatives to conventional solvents.

Dimethyl Ether

Dimethyl ether is an organic compound. This simplest ether is a colourless gas that is a useful precursor to other organic compounds and an aerosol propellant. The largest use of dimethyl ether is currently as substitute for propane in LPG used as fuel in household and industry. It is a low-temperature solvent and extraction agent, applicable to specialised laboratory procedures. Its usefulness is limited by its low boiling point, but the same property facilitates its removal from reaction mixtures. Dimethyl ether is the precursor to the useful alkylating agent, trimethyloxonium tetrafluoroborate. It is a promising fuel in diesel engines, petrol engines, and gas turbines owing to its high cetane number, which is 55, compared to diesel's, which is 40–53.

Properties Suppliers
Dimethyl Stearyl Amine

Dimethyl stearyl amine is used as an intermediate for the manufacture of quaternary ammonium compounds, amine oxide and betaine surfactants for personal care, and institutional use. It is used as a corrosion inhibitor and acid-stable emulsifier.

Properties Suppliers
Dimethyl Sulfate

Dimethyl Sulfate is the diester of methanol and sulfuric acid. Dimethyl sulfate was first discovered in the early 19th century in an impure form.It may have been used in chemical warfare.Dimethyl sulfate can be synthesized in the laboratory by many different syntheses, the simplest being the esterification of sulfuric acid with methanol. Dimethyl sulfate is best known as a reagent for the methylation of phenols, amines, and thiols.
