Neodymium Oxide Industrial Grade 99.9%

Neodymium oxide is kind of light blue rare earth oxide powder, which turns dark blue after damping. Industrial grade is brown. It tends to damp and absorb carbon dioxide in air. Neodymium trioxide is insoluble in water, but soluble in dilute acid. When heating in air, it turns out high order oxide of neodymium.

Neodymium Oxide

CAS No.: 1313-97-9 EINECS No.: 215-214-1 Molecular Formula: Nd2O3 Molecular Weight: 336.48
Melting Point: 2272℃ Boiling Point: 3760℃ Density: 7.24

Applications

Neodymium trioxide mainly apply as colorant of glass and ceramic. It is also raw material for metal neodymium and strong magnetic Nd-Fe-B.

Adding 1.5%~2.5% nano neodymium oxide in magnesium alloys or aluminum alloys can enhance their high-temperature property, gas tightness and corrosion resistance. They are widely used as aerospace material.

Nano yttrium oxide aluminum garnet with doping nano neodymium oxide shots short wave laser beam. It widely apply to 10mm max thin material welding and cutting. In medical treatment, it can replace scalpel to do extraction or disinfect wound.

Neodymium trioxide can be additive for rubber goods.

NeodymiumIII chloride

Neodymium(III) chloride or neodymium trichloride is a chemical compound of neodymium and chlorine. This anhydrous compound is a mauve-colored solid that rapidly absorbs water on exposure to air to form a purple-colored hexahydrate, NdCl3·6H2O. Neodymium(III) chloride is produced from minerals monazite and bastnäsite using a complex multistage extraction process. The chloride has several important applications as an intermediate chemical for production of neodymium metal and neodymium-based lasers and optical fibers. Other applications include a catalyst in organic synthesis and in decomposition of waste water contamination, corrosion protection of aluminium and its alloys, and fluorescent labeling of organic molecules (DNA).

Niacin

Niacin is an organic compound. It is a derivative of pyridine, with a carboxyl group at the 3-position. Niacin is a precursor to NAD+/NADH and NADP+/NADPH, which play essential metabolic roles in living cells. It is involved in both DNA repair, and the production of steroid hormones in the adrenal gland.
