N,N-Dimethylformamide is used as a solvent with low evaporation rate.It is used in the production of acrylic fibers and plastics. It is also used as a solvent in peptide coupling for pharmaceuticals, in the development and production of pesticides, and in the manufacture of adhesives, synthetic leathers, fibers, films, and surface coatings.
This compound is a water-soluble salt, and can be used as a reducing agent in aqueous solutions. It is used as such in some industrial dyeing processes, where an otherwise water-insoluble dye can be reduced into a water-soluble alkali metal salt. The reduction properties of sodium dithionite also eliminate excess dye, residual oxide, and unintended pigments, thereby improving overall colour quality.
Sodium dithionite can also be used for water treatment, gas purification, cleaning, and stripping. It can also be used in industrial processes as a sulfonating agent or a sodium ion source. In addition to the textile industry, this compound is used in industries concerned with leather, foods, polymers, photography, and many others. Its wide use is attributable to its low toxicity LD50 at 5 g/kg, and hence its wide range of applications. It is also used as decolourising agent in organic reactions.
Benzylbutylphthalate is a phthalate, an ester of phthalic acid, benzyl alcohol and n-butanol. It is mostly used as a plasticizer for PVC. It is considered a toxicant. It is commonly used as a plasticizer for vinyl foams, which are often used as floor tiles. Other uses are in traffic cones, food conveyor belts, and artificial leather.
Disodium pyrophosphate is a buffering and chelating agent, with many food and industrial uses. It is polyvalent, and acts as a Lewis base, so is effective at binding polyvalent cations. It is a GRAS substance for food use. It is used in canned seafood to maintain color and reduce purge during retorting. Retorting achieves microbial stability with heat. It is an acid source for reaction with baking soda to leaven baked goods. It also is found in frozen hash browns and other potato products, where it is used to keep the color of the potatoes from darkening. In leather treatment, it can be used to remove iron stains on hides during processing. It can stabilize hydrogen peroxide solutions against reduction; it can be used with sulfamic acid in some dairy applications for cleaning, especially to remove soapstone. In petroleum production, it can be used as a dispersant in oil well drilling muds.
Meta Phenylene Diamine is used in aramid fiber manufacture, as a polymer additive, dye manufacturing, as a laboratory reagent, and in photography. And for leather and textiles.
SYNTHETIC FATLIQUOR SE is a compound of natural oil and synthetic fatliquor. It is an anionic fatliquor specially formulated with various components to meet the requirement of leather fatliquoring, can be used for the fatliquoring of softies, such as nappa, suedes, garment and gloving leathers. If mixed with other fatliquors, it can be used for uppers and ball leather processing.
Aminomethyl Propanediol is a alkanolamine. It is used in creams and lotions, hair sprays, wave sets, hair dyes,surface-active agents, vulcanization accelerators, pharmaceuticals, mineral oil and paraffin wax emulsions, leather dressings, textile specialties, polishes, cleaning compounds.
Chestnut Extract Powder is widely used for leather tannage. Chestnut extracts contain a convenient quantity of acid groups and natural organic acids, which determine their considerable astringency and their capability to fix larger scales of the hide. These properties make chestnut extract especially suitable for the tanning of heavy hides to produce leather soles in particular. It is possible to obtain a leather with high yield in weight, which is compact, firm, flexible and water proof. The chestnut tanned leathers are elastics, light fast, resistant to traction and abrasion and have good colour.
1,5-Dihydroxynaphthalene are used directly in making several dyes and are converted into numerous corresponding amines, esters, ethers and carboxylic derivatives as well as into numerous sulfo- and nitro-group substituted (mono-, di- and tri) compounds. They find extensive applications in making dyes, pigments, fluorescent whiteners, tanning agents, antioxidants, and antiseptics.
Zinc sulfate monohydrate is used to supply zinc in animal feeds, fertilizers, and agricultural sprays. It is also used in making lithopone, in coagulation baths for rayon, in electrolytes for zinc plating, as a mordant in dyeing, as a preservative for skins and leather and in medicine as an astringent and emetic.
