Heptanoic Acid is broadly applied in various fields of people’s life. It is one of the components for the aroma of wine.

As a key and basic raw material for organic synthesis, heptanoic acid is mainly used to produce enantate, which is applied in the industries of edible essences, spices, resin, medicine, lubricant, and plasticizer. It can also be used to produce antifungal, the safety glass polyvinyl butyral (PVB), and the stabilizer alkyd resin, as well as polyolester, the raw material for manufacturing synthetic lubricant.
 

Package and storage

Heptanoic Acid is regularly packed in 100kg aluminum drums. It should be stored in cool and ventilated room. Keep it away from fire, heat and direct contact with sunshine. The container should be well sealed. Separate it from oxidizing agent, reducing agent, and the alkalines. Prepare proper fire-fighting equipment. There should be adequate handling devices and containers for accident leaking. Ship it as general chemical.
