Rhodanine is an organic compound derived from thiazolidine. It can be prepared by the reaction of carbon disulfide, ammonia, and chloroacetic acid. Some derivatives of rhodanine have pharmacological properties, such as epalrestat which is used to treat diabetic neuropathy.
