Dinapsoline

Dinapsoline is a drug developed for the treatment of Parkinson's disease, that acts as a selective full agonist at the dopamine D1 receptor.

Properties
Domperidone

Domperidone is an antidopaminergic drug, developed by Janssen Pharmaceutica, and used orally, rectally or intravenously, generally to suppress nausea and vomiting. It has also been used to stimulate lactation.Domperidone is used, together with metoclopramide, cyclizine, and 5HT3 receptor antagonists (such as granisetron) in the treatment of nausea and vomiting. It can be used in patients with Parkinson's disease.Domperidone has also been found effective in the treatment of gastroparesis stomach motility condition, and for paediatric gastroesophageal reflux (infant vomiting).

Properties Suppliers
Dorzolamide

Dorzolamide is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor. It is an anti-glaucoma agent and topically applied in the form of eye drops. This drug, developed by Merck, was the first drug in human therapy which resulted from structure-based drug design.

Properties Suppliers
Doxefazepam

Doxefazepam is a drug which is a benzodiazepine derivative. It possesses anxiolytic, anticonvulsant, sedative and skeletal muscle relaxant properties. It is used therapeutically as a hypnotic.

Properties
Doxorubicin

Doxorubicin is a drug used in cancer chemotherapy. It is an anthracycline antibiotic, closely related to the natural product daunomycin, and like all anthracyclines, it works by intercalating DNA. It is commonly used in the treatment of a wide range of cancers, including hematological malignancies, many types of carcinoma, and soft tissue sarcomas. Doxorubicin's most serious adverse effect is life-threatening heart damage.

Properties Suppliers
Doxycycline

Doxycycline, a long-acting tetracycline derived from oxytetracycline, is used to inhibit bacterial protein synthesis and treat non-gonococcal urethritis and cervicitis, exacerbations of bronchitis in patients with COPD, and adult periodontitis.Doxycycline, like minocycline, is lipophilic and can pass through the lipid bilayer of bacteria. Doxycycline reversibly binds to the 30 S ribosomal subunits and possibly the 50S ribosomal subunit(s), blocking the binding of aminoacyl tRNA to the mRNA and inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis

Properties Suppliers
Dronedarone

Dronedarone is a drug, mainly for the indication of cardiac arrhythmias. It is used for the treatment of atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter in patients whose hearts have either returned to normal rhythm or who undergo drug therapy or electric shock treatment to maintain normal rhythm. A trial of the drug in heart failure was stopped as an interim analysis showed a possible increase in heart failure deaths, in patients with moderate to severe CHF.

Properties Suppliers
Dutasteride

Dutasteride is a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor that inhibits the conversion of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). It is approved in the United States for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and is prescribed off-label for the treatment of male pattern baldness (MPB). The teratogenic effect from dutasteride is harmful to male children. Women who are pregnant should not handle the capsules, as inadvertent consumption could cause birth defects of the male fetus. The adverse effects would be similar to 5-alpha-reductase deficiency, where a developing male child is naturally deficient in 5-alpha reductase Type II, and thus unable to synthesize it. As dutasteride blocks the same process, developing males would have a DHT deficiency with its adverse effects as a result of the drug.

Properties Suppliers
Enalaprilat

Enalaprilat is the active metabolite of enalapril. It is the first dicarboxylate-containing ACE inhibitor and was developed partly to overcome these limitations of captopril.

Properties Suppliers
Endralazine

Endralazine is an antihypertensive of the hydrazine chemical class.
