Rizatriptan

Rizatriptan is a 5-HT1 agonist triptan drug developed by Merck & Co. for the treatment of migraine headaches. It is used to treat acute migraine attacks. Rizatriptan is in a class of medications called selective serotonin receptor agonists. It works by narrowing blood vessels in the brain, stopping pain signals from being sent to the brain, and stopping the release of certain natural substances that cause pain, nausea, and other symptoms of migraine. It does not prevent future migraine attacks.

Roflumilast

Roflumilast is a drug which acts as a selective, long-acting inhibitor of the enzyme PDE-4. It has antiinflammatory effects and is under development as an orally administered drug for the treatment of inflammatory conditions of the lungs such as asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. While roflumilast was found to be effective in clinical trials, it produced several dose-limiting side effects including nausea, diarrhoea and headache, and development is continuing in an attempt to minimise the incidence of side effects while retaining clinical efficacy.

Properties Suppliers
Ropivacaine

Ropivacaine is indicated for local anaesthesia including infiltration, nerve block, epidural and intrathecal anaesthesia in adults and children over 12 years. It is also indicated for peripheral nerve block and caudal epidural in children 1–12 years for surgical pain. It is also sometimes used for infiltration anaesthesia for surgical pain in children. It is often co-administered with fentanyl for epidural analgesia, for example in pregnant women during labour.

Properties Suppliers
Saxagliptin

Saxagliptin is a new oral hypoglycemic (anti-diabetic drug) of the new dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor class of drugs. It was developed by Bristol-Myers Squibb. It was based on a drug development program with 8 randomized trials.Saxagliptin is part of a class of diabetes medications called dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors.Saxagliptin slows down the breakdown of incretin hormones, increasing the level of these hormones in the body. It is this increase in incretin hormones that is responsible for the beneficial actions of Saxagliptin, including increasing insulin production in response to meals and decreasing the amount of glucose (sugar) that the liver produces.

Properties Suppliers
Scopolamine

Scopolamine, also known as levo-duboisine and hyoscine, sold as Scopoderm, is a tropane alkaloid drug with muscarinic antagonist effects. It is among the secondary metabolites of plants from Solanaceae (nightshade) family of plants, such as henbane, jimson weed (Datura), angel's trumpets (Brugmansia), and corkwood (Duboisia). Scopolamine exerts its effects by acting as a competitive antagonist at muscarinic acetylcholine receptors, specifically M1 receptors; it is thus classified as an anticholinergic, antimuscarinic drug. Scopolamine was used in conjunction with morphine, oxycodone, or other opioids from before 1900 into the 1960s to put mothers in labor into a kind of "twilight sleep". Scopolamine was also one of the active ingredients in Asthmador, an over-the-counter (OTC) smoking preparation marketed in the 1950s and '60s claiming to combat asthma and bronchitis. Scopolamine has been used under the name burundanga in Venezuelan and Thailand resorts in order to drug and then rob tourists. Scopolamine was one of the active principles in many of the "flying ointments" used by witches, sorcerers.

Properties Suppliers
Secnidazole

Secnidazole is a nitroimidazole anti-infective. Effectiveness in the treatment of dientamoebiasis has been reported. It has also been tested against Atopobium vaginae.

Properties Suppliers
Selumetinib

Selumetinib is an orally bioavailable small molecule with potential antineoplastic activity. Selumetinib inhibits mitogen-activated protein kinase kinases (MEK or MAPK/ERK kinases) 1 and 2, which may prevent the activation of MEK1/2-dependent effector proteins and transcription factors, and so may inhibit cellular proliferation in MEK-overexpressing tumor cells.

Properties Suppliers
Seratrodast

Seratrodast is a thromboxane receptor antagonist used primarily in the treatment of asthma.

Properties Suppliers
Sevoflurane

Sevoflurane (2,2,2-trifluoro-1-[trifluoromethyl]ethyl fluoromethyl ether), also called fluoromethyl, is a sweet-smelling, non-flammable, highly fluorinated methyl isopropyl ether used for induction and maintenance of general anesthesia.Sevoflurane induces a reduction in junctional conductance by decreasing gap junction channel opening times and increasing gap junction channel closing times. Sevoflurane also activates calcium dependent ATPase in the sarcoplasmic reticulum by increasing the fluidity of the lipid membrane. It also appears to bind the D subunit of ATP synthase and NADH dehydogenase and also binds to the GABA receptor, the large conductance Ca2+ activated potassium channel, the glutamate receptor, and the glycine receptor.

Properties Suppliers
Sibutramine

Sibutramine is an oral anorexiant. Until recently it was marketed and prescribed as an adjunct in the treatment of exogenous obesity along with diet and exercise. It has been associated with increased cardiovascular events and strokes and has been withdrawn from the market in the United States, the UK, the EU, Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Thailand and Mexico and recently in India following the decision of an expert committee on its effects on CVS. It is a centrally-acting serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor structurally related to amphetamines, although its mechanism of action is distinct. It was launched and marketed by Knoll Pharmaceuticals.
