Nucleant Tablets are used for grain refining of aluminium and its alloys. Usually, aluminum and its alloys solidify with coarse columnar and equiaxed crystals and tends to cluster. Such a coarse grain structure poses problems like poor feeding characteristics, lower tensile strength, low wear resistance, cracking during metal working and poor response to the surface treatment processes. Therefore, we require Nucleants to overcome these problems by producing fine equiaxed grains.
Toluidines are used in the production of dyes. They are a component of accelerators for cyanoacrylate glues. They are toxic and are suspected human carcinogens. o-Tolidine, used as a presumptive test for blood in forensic science, is two o-toluidine molecules linked together.
Oxyphenbutazone is a metabolite of phenylbutazone. It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug.
Palbociclib HCl is an orally available pyridopyrimidine-derived cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) inhibitor with potential antineoplastic activity. Palbociclib HCl selectively inhibits cyclin-dependent kinases (particularly Cdk4/cyclin D1 kinase), which may inhibit retinoblastoma (Rb) protein phosphorylation;inhibition of Rb phosphorylation prevents Rb-positive tumor cells from entering the S phase of the cell cycle (arrest in the G1 phase), resulting in suppression of DNA replication and decreased tumor cell proliferation. It is a highly specific inhibitor of cyclin-dependent kinase 4 (Cdk4) (IC50 = 0.011μmol/L) and Cdk6 (IC50 = 0.016 μmol/L), having no activity against a panel of 36 additional protein kinases.
Pamidronic acid is used to prevent osteoporosis. It is marketed by Novartis under the brand name Aredia. It is used to prevent bone loss, and in certain cancers with high propensity to bone, such as multiple myeloma. In multiple myeloma, it is usually administered as an intravenous infusion, lasting about 3 hours. The therapy is repeated monthly, and lasts for the life of the patient. Due to its ability to sequester calcium in bone, it is also used to treat high calcium levels. It is also used as an experimental treatment of the bone disorder known as Osteogenesis Imperfecta, or brittle bones.
Pelargonic Acid is an organic compound composed of a nine-carbon chain terminating in a carboxylic acid.It is a clear, oily liquid with an unpleasant, rancid odor. Pelargonic Acid is nearly insoluble in water, but very soluble in chloroform, ether, and hexane. Pelargonic Acid is commonly used in conjunction with glyphosate, a non-selective herbicide, for a quick burn-down effect in the control of weeds in turfgrass. Pelargonic Acid is a fatty acid which occurs naturally as esters in the oil of pelargonium. Pelargonic Acid is also used in the preparation of plasticizers and lacquers.
Phendimetrazine is a stimulant drug of the morpholine chemical class used as an appetite suppressant.
Podophyllotoxin is a non-alkaloid toxin lignan extracted from the roots and rhizomes of Podophyllum species. It is used on the skin to treat external genital warts, caused by some types of the human papillomavirus. Podophyllotoxin and its derivatives display a wide selection in medical applications such as purgative, vesicant, antirheumatic, antiviral, and antitumor agents. Their anticancer activity has been heavily under study and used in various chemotherapies, including lung cancer, lymphomas, and genital tumors.
Polysorbate 85 is used as an emulsifier in combination with a variety of other hydrophobic emulsifiers to cover a wide range of oil in water, and water in oil emulsion systems. Individually, it is an excellent solubilizer of vegetable oils and fragrances, a wetting agent, viscosity modifier, stabilizer and dispersing agent. Useful for oil-in-water emulsions, and to make anhydrous ointments water soluble or washable.
Pseudoephedrine is a sympathomimetic drug of the phenethylamine and amphetamine chemical classes. It may be used as a nasal/sinus decongestant, as a stimulant, or as a wakefulness-promoting agent. Pseudoephedrine acts on α- and β2-adrenergic receptors, to cause vasoconstriction and relaxation of smooth muscle in the bronchi, respectively. pseudoephedrine is a stimulant, but it is well known for shrinking swollen nasal mucous membranes, so it is often used as a decongestant. It reduces tissue hyperemia, edema, and nasal congestion commonly associated with colds or allergies. Other beneficial effects may include increasing the drainage of sinus secretions, and opening of obstructed Eustachian tubes. The same vasoconstriction action can also result in hypertension, which is a noted side effect of pseudoephedrine.Pseudoephedrine is also indicated for vasomotor rhinitis, and as an adjunct to other agents in the optimum treatment of allergic rhinitis, croup, sinusitis, otitis media, and tracheobronchitis. It is recommended that pseudoephedrine not be used in patients with: diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular disease, severe or uncontrolled hypertension, severe coronary artery disease, prostatic hypertrophy, hyperthyroidism, closed angle glaucoma, or by pregnant women.
