Sodium Benzoate

Sodium benzoate is the sodium salt of benzoic acid and exists in this form when dissolved in water. It is a preservative. It is bacteriostatic and fungistatic under acidic conditions. It is used most prevalently in acidic foods. It is also found in alcohol-based mouthwash and silver polish. It can also be found in cough syrups like Robitussin. Some shampoos such as Pert 2-in-1 contain sodium benzoate as well. It is also used in fireworks as a fuel in whistle mix, a powder that emits a whistling noise when compressed into a tube and ignited. The fuel is also one of the fastest burning rocket fuels and provides a lot of thrust and smoke.

Properties Suppliers
Thioproperazine

Thioproperazine is a potent neuroleptic with antipsychotic properties. It has a marked cataleptic and antiapomorphine activity associated with relatively slight sedative, hypothermic and spasmolytic effects. It is used for the treatment of all types of acute and chronic schizophrenia, including those which did not respond to the usual neuroleptics; manic syndromes.

Properties
Tolfenamic Acid

Tolfenamic acid is one of the class of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. It is used to treat the symptoms of migraine.

Tranexamic Acid

Tranexamic acid is a synthetic derivative of the amino acid lysine. It is used to treat or prevent excessive blood loss during surgery and in various other medical conditions. It is an antifibrinolytic that competitively inhibits the activation of plasminogen to plasmin, by binding to specific sites of both plasminogen and plasmin, a molecule responsible for the degradation of fibrin. Tranexamic acid is frequently used in surgeries with high risk of blood loss such as cardiac, liver, vascular and large orthopedic procedures. Its oral form is now being evaluated for use in outpatient conditions involving heavy bleeding. Tranexamic acid competitively inhibits activation of plasminogen (via binding to the kringle domain), thereby reducing conversion of plasminogen to plasmin. Tranexamic acid also directly inhibits plasmin activity, but higher doses are required than are needed to reduce plasmin formation.

Properties Suppliers
Triacetaldehyde

Triacetaldehyde is the cyclic trimer of acetaldehyde molecules. It has been used in the treatment of convulsions, epilepticus. It is used in resin manufacture, as a preservative, and in other processes as a solvent. It is a potent anticonvulsant capable of controlling seizures refractory to phenobarbital and phenytoin without causing respiratory depression. It exerts its action rapidly and is then eliminated from the body with a half-life that which is rather variable. It was commonly used to induce sleep in sufferers from delirium tremens. It has been used in the treatment of convulsions, used in resin manufacture, as a preservative, and in other processes as a solvent, used in the generation of aldehyde fuchsin.

Triclabendazole

Triclabendazole is a member of the benzimidazole family of anthelmintics. The benzimidazole drugs share a common molecular structure, triclabendazole being the exception in having a chlorinated benzene ring but no carbamate group. It was initially only developed as an oral route drug and displays high efficacy against both immature and adult liver fluke. It is generally accepted that benzimidazoles like triclabendazole bind to beta-tubulin and prevent the polymerisation of the microtubules of which they are part.
