Pelargonic Acid

Pelargonic Acid is an organic compound composed of a nine-carbon chain terminating in a carboxylic acid.It is a clear, oily liquid with an unpleasant, rancid odor. Pelargonic Acid is nearly insoluble in water, but very soluble in chloroform, ether, and hexane. Pelargonic Acid is commonly used in conjunction with glyphosate, a non-selective herbicide, for a quick burn-down effect in the control of weeds in turfgrass. Pelargonic Acid is a fatty acid which occurs naturally as esters in the oil of pelargonium. Pelargonic Acid is also used in the preparation of plasticizers and lacquers.

Properties Suppliers
Pencillamine

Penicillamine is used as a form of immunosuppression to treat rheumatoid arthritis. It is used as a chelating agent.

Properties Suppliers
Penfluridol

Penfluridol is a highly potent, first generation diphenylbutylpiperidine antipsychotic. It was discovered at Janssen Pharmaceutica in 1968. Related to other diphenylbutylpiperidine antipsychotics, pimozide and fluspirilene, penfluridol has an extremely long elimination half-life and its effects last for many days after single oral dose. Its antipsychotic potency, in terms of dose needed to produce comparable effects, is similar to both haloperidol and pimozide. It is only slightly sedative, but often causes extrapyramidal side-effects, such as akathisia, dyskinesiae and pseudo-Parkinsonism. It is indicated for antipsychotic treatment of chronic schizophrenia and similar psychotic disorders, it is, however, like most typical antipsychotics, being increasingly replaced by the atypical antipsychotics.

Properties Suppliers
Penicillin G Acylase

Penicillin G Acylase (EC 3.5.1.11) is a enzyme derived from Escherichia coli.Penicillin G acylase has many applications, from the hydrolysis of penicillin G (production of 6-aminopenicillanic acid) to the synthesis of semi-synthetic antibiotics. It is widely used in synthesis of antibiotics such as ampicillin, amoxicillin, cloxacillin, cephalexin, and cefatoxime.

Properties Suppliers
Pentaerythritol Oleate

Pentaerythritol Oleate is obtained by the reaction of Pentaerythritol with oleic acid.It is used in use as basic oil in lubricants. It also used as intermediates and brightener for electroplating, perfluoro chemicals, electroplating raw materials & equipments.

Properties Suppliers
Pentamorphone

Pentamorphone is a semi-synthetic opiate derivative related to compounds such as morphine, hydromorphone and oxymorphone. Developed in 1984, it is a potent opioid analgesic several times stronger than fentanyl, and with a similarly fast onset of effects and short duration of action. It was found to produce relatively little respiratory depression compared to other potent opioid agonists, but its analgesic effects were somewhat disappointing in human trials, and while pentamorphone had some slight advantages over fentanyl these were not sufficient to warrant its introduction into clinical use.

Properties Suppliers
Pentazocine

Pentazocine is a synthetically-prepared prototypical mixed agonist-antagonist narcotic drug of the benzomorphan class of opioids used to treat moderate to moderately severe pain. This compound may exist as one of two enantiomers, named (+)-pentazocine and (-)-pentazocine. (-)-Pentazocine is a κ opioid receptor agonist, while (+)-pentazocine is not, instead displaying a ten-fold greater affinity for the σ receptor.

Properties Suppliers
Pentobarbital

Pentobarbital is a short-acting barbiturate that was first synthesized in 1928. Pentobarbital's FDA-approved human uses include treatment of seizures and preoperative (and other) sedation; it is also approved as a short-term hypnotic.

Properties Suppliers
Pentoxifylline

Pentoxifylline is a drug. It is a xanthine derivative. It is used to treat intermittent claudication resulting from obstructed arteries in the limbs, and vascular dementia. It improves blood flow through peripheral blood vessels and therefore helps with blood circulation in the arms and legs, and the brain. The drug is gaining acceptance for conservative treatment of Peyronie's disease and neuropathic injuries. It also helps prevent strokes and can be used in managing sickle cell disease. It has also been used to treat nausea and headaches in the mountains, and has been shown to reduce mortality in acute alcoholic and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis, presumably through its ability to inhibit TNF-alpha. Pentoxifylline's anti-TNF properties indicates it for treatment of alcoholic liver disease. It is also being investigated for the causative treatment of endometriosis.
