Celiprolol

Celiprolol is a medication in the class of beta blockers, used in the treatment of high blood pressure. It has a unique pharmacodynamics: it is a selective β1 antagonist, but a β2 partial agonist. It is also a weak α2 antagonist. A recent clinical trial has suggested a use for this medication in the prevention of vascular complications of a rare inherited disease called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.

Properties Suppliers
Cellulose

Cellulose is an organic compound, a polysaccharide consisting of a linear chain of several hundred to over ten thousand β(1→4) linked D-glucose units. For industrial use, cellulose is mainly obtained from wood pulp and cotton. It is mainly used to produce paperboard and paper, and used as binding agent, auxiliary agent in pharmaceutical products.Cellulose is the structural component of the primary cell wall of green plants, many forms of algae and the oomycetes, used in the laboratory as the stationary phase for thin layer chromatography.

Properties Suppliers
Cephaeline

Cephaeline is an alkaloid chemical that induces vomiting by stimulating the stomach lining. It is found in commercial products such as syrup of ipecac. Chemicallly, it is closely related to emetine.

Properties Suppliers
Cephalexin

Cephalexin is a semisynthetic cephalosporin antibiotic with antimicrobial activity similar to that of cephaloridine or cephalothin, but somewhat less potent. It is effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative organisms. Cephalexin, like the penicillins, is a beta-lactam antibiotic. By binding to specific penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) located inside the bacterial cell wall, it inhibits the third and last stage of bacterial cell wall synthesis. Cell lysis is then mediated by bacterial cell wall autolytic enzymes such as autolysins; it is possible that cephalexin interferes with an autolysin inhibitor.Symptoms of overdose include blood in the urine, diarrhea, nausea, upper abdominal pain, and vomiting.

Properties Suppliers
Cephaloridine

Cephaloridine is a cephalosporin compound with pyridinium-1-ylmethyl and 2-thienylacetamido side groups. Cephaloridine is a first generation semisynthetic derivative of cephalosporin C. Cephaloridine can be synthesised from Cephalotin and pyridine by deacetylation. Cephalosporins have a six membered sulfur containing ring adjoining a β lactam ring. Cephaloridine is very active against gram positive cocci and used in a large variety of bacterial infections, such as respiratory tract, skin and urinary tract infections. Antibiotics require constant drug level in body for therapeutic effect. Cephaloridine is, however, highly cytotoxic to the proximal renal tubule, the segment of the nephron responsible for the secretion of organic anions, including para-am-minohippurate (PAH), as well as the various penicillin and cephalosporin antibiotics. Cephaloridine was used to treat 136 bacterial infections in 122 hospitalized patients. Its antibacterial and clinical effectiveness against serious staphylococcal infections compared favorably with that of cephalothin sodium and of penicillinase-resistant penicillins in similar cases. Cephaloridine was highly effective clinically and in eradicating the causative organisms in infections due to pneumococci, streptococci, Escherichia coli, and Proteus mirabilis; but its effectiveness against klebsielleae was variable. Cephaloridine is excreted in the urine without undergoing metabolism. It inhibits organic ion transport in the kidney. This process is preceded by the lipid peroxidation.

Properties Suppliers
Cephalotaxine

Cephalotaxine is an antiviral and antitumor agent. It is benzazepine alkaloid isolated from Cephalotaxus harringtonia. Cephalotaxine is used for the determination and identification, pharmacological experiments.

Properties Suppliers
Cerebellin

Cerebellin is a 16-aminoacid peptide widely distributed in the central nervous system, where it exerts neuromodulatory functions. Cerebellin is contained in human adrenal medulla, and it has been recently demonstrated that cerebellin elicits catecholamine release by human adrenal in vitro. Cerebellins constitute a family of secreted proteins that form homomeric or heteromeric complexes.

Properties Suppliers
Cetiedil

Cetiedil is a vasodilator and an anti-sickling agent.

Properties Suppliers
Cetiol LC PH

Cetiol LC PH is a clear. mildly yellowish, medium polar oil with a mean molecular weight; it has a slightly fatty odour. Due to its high spreading value the product is suited for use in pharmaceutical skin care preparations such as low fatting emulsions and skin oils.

Properties Suppliers
Cetirizine

Cetirizine is a potent second-generation histamine H1 antagonist that is effective in the treatment of allergic rhinitis, chronic urticaria, and pollen-induced asthma. Unlike many traditional antihistamines, it does not cause drowsiness or anticholinergic side effects.Overdose causes somnolence (sleepiness or unusual drowsiness), restlessness, irritability
