poly(4-vinylpyridine) is a homopolymer. It is used for molecular imprinting polymers,ion-exchange resins,bio-sorption,biosensor materials and microfiltration membranes.
poly(methyl acrylate) is a co-polymer of acrylic acid.
Polyphenylene Sulfide is an organic polymer consisting of aromatic rings linked with sulfides. Synthetic fiber and textiles derived from this polymer are known to resist chemical and thermal attack. It is used to make filter fabric for coal boilers, papermaking felts, electrical insulation, specialty membranes, gaskets, and packings. Polyphenylene Sulfide is the precursor to a conducting polymer of the semi-flexible rod polymer family. The PPS, which is otherwise insulating, can be converted to the semiconducting form by oxidation or use of dopants. Polyphenylene sulfide is an engineering plastic, commonly used today as a high-performance thermoplastic. It can be molded, extruded, or machined to high tolerances. In its pure solid form, it may be opaque white to light tan in color. Maximum service temperature is 218 °C (424 °F). Polyphenylene Sulfide has not been found to dissolve in any solvent at temperatures below approximately 200 °C. It is one of the most important high temperature thermoplastic polymers because it exhibits a number of desirable properties. These properties include resistance to heat, acids and alkalies, and to mildew, to bleaches, aging, sunlight, and abrasion. Polyphenylene Sulfide absorbs only small amounts of solvents and resists dyeing. Polyphenylene Sulfide is formed by reaction of sodium sulfide with p-dichlorobenzene.
Struktol Polydis 3605 is a lower viscous version of Struktol Polydis 3604 designed for easier processing at room temperature. It is especially suitable for the production of potting resin or composites with superior properties.
Struktol Polydis 3625 highly improves the viscoplastic properties and toughens the epoxy resin system.
Tricresyl Phosphate is used as a plasticizer for PVC, rubber and plastics. It is used as an ingredient for flame-retardant in plastics, rubbers and in hydraulic systems. It is used as a heat exchange media. It is used a solvent and thinner for nitrocellulose, paints and varnishes. It is also used as an additive in high-pressure cooling lubricants. It is used as a lead scavenger in gasoline.
Tribasic Lead Sulfate is the most popular and versatile lead stabilisers for PVC. It is one of the most cost effective stabilisers available, and is used in both rigid and plasticised PVC compounds for a wide range of end product applications.
Trioctyl Trimellitate is a primary plasticizer for polyvinyl chloride resin and copolymer applications. It offers compatibility, excellent low temperature properties, ease of processing and a high degree of permanence. It is applied in various plastic materials such as polyvinyl chloride, chloroethylene copolymer, ethyl cellulose, polymethyl methylacrylate. It is used for manufacturing flexible PVC film, sheet and tape flexible PVC-wire and cable.
Vinyltrimethoxysilane is used as a polymer modifier via grafting reactions, used as cross-linking agent, coupling agent and glass fiber treatment agent.
Chlorinated paraffins (CPs) are a complex group of manmade compounds, primarily used as coolants and lubricants in metal forming and cutting. They also are used as plasticizers and flame retardants in rubber, paints, adhesives, sealants and plastics.
