1,1-Dichloroethene, commonly called 1,1-dichloroethylene or 1,1-DCE, is an organochloride . It is a colorless liquid with a sharp odor. Like most chlorocarbons, it is poorly soluble in water, but soluble in organic solvents. 1,1-DCE was the precursor to the original cling-wrap for food, but this application has been phased out.1,1-DCE is mainly used as a comonomer in the polymerization of vinyl chloride, acrylonitrile, and acrylates. It is also used in semiconductor device fabrication for growing high purity silicon dioxide (SiO2) films.
Dimethyl terephthalate is an organic compound. It is the diester formed from terephthalic acid and methanol. It is used in the production of polyesters, including polyethylene terephthalate and polytrimethylene terephthalate. Hydrogenation of dimethyl terephthalate affords the diol cyclohexanedimethanol, which is a useful monomer.
Dimethyldiethoxysilane is a organosilicon compound. It is used as a precursor in the production of the silicone polymer polydimethylsiloxane.
Ethylene vinyl acetate is the copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate. It is a polymer that approaches elastomeric materials in softness and flexibility. It is used in biomedical engineering applications as a drug delivery device, orthotics, fire safe cigarettes(FSC), surfboard and skimboard traction pads, and for the manufacturing of some artificial flowers. It is also used as a clinginess-enhancing additive in plastic wraps, a cold flow improver for diesel fuel and a separater in HEPA filters.
Hexamethylenetetramine is a heterocyclic organic compound and it was discovered by Aleksandr Butlerov in 1859. It is highly soluble in water and polar organic solvents. It has a cage-like structure similar to adamantane. It is useful in the synthesis of plastics, pharmaceuticals, rubber additive compounds.
Melamine pyrophosphate is an excellent non-halogen chemical useful in various fabrics, nylons, paint, paper and plastics as a flame retardant. It is compatible with melamine-urea formaldehyde systems. It has shown uses in the electronic industry when incorporated in the manufacturing of circuit boards and other equipment. It can also be used with epoxy and other adhesive compositions to achieve fire retardant barriers in gluelines in wood and plastic laminates. Melamine pyrophoshate is useable with di-pentaerythrytol as well as polyolefins. Melamine pyrophosphate can be partially used instead of ammonium polyphosphate in some intumescent applications.
Meta Phenylene Diamine is used in aramid fiber manufacture, as a polymer additive, dye manufacturing, as a laboratory reagent, and in photography. And for leather and textiles.
Methyltrimethoxysilane it is a cross linking agent for room temperature cured silclione rubber, coupling agent for glass fiber and Sio2, a strengthening agent for plastic-layer pressing material. It is also used in construction and sanitary.
Mono n-Butyl Phosphate has a variety of industrial uses including esterification catalyst and polymerizing agent, curing catalyst and accelerator in resins and coatings, surfactant and stabilizer.
