Vydyne 21LS is a low-viscosity, general-purpose PA66 resin used for extrusion-compounding. Vydyne 21LS enables mixing shear sensitive materials and high-percent filler concentration where distributive mixing is essential to the final product performance. The compounded product will maintain its high flow and performance needed for the application. Resistance of Vydyne 21LS to heat, oil and wear is typical of PA66 neat resins.
Vydyne 50BW is a general-purpose PA66 resin. This product is available at two moisture levels: 0.2% (max) as 50BW and 0.5% (max) as 50BWFS.
Vydyne M344 resins are ignition resistant nylon 6,6 resins with UL 94V-0 and UL 94-5VA flammability rating. Lubricated for machine feed and easy mold release. Vydyne M344 resins are modified with halogenated and other flame retardant additives to provide users a product which meets Underwriter Laboratories (U.L.) 94V-0 flammability classification down to thicknesses of 0.017 inches and 94-5VA down to 0.080 inches in thickness. Vydyne M344 resin has been formulated to minimize such loss in ductility. Vydyne M344 generally yields more ductile parts than many other nylon and non-nylon (U.L.) 94V-0 plastic materials in many commercial applications.Vydyne M344 resins have a comparatively low specific gravity for an improved flame retardant resin. Meaningful economic comparisons of molding materials must be based on cost per cubic inch, which is reduced by lowered specific gravity.
Vydyne R220 is a 40% mineral reinforced Nylon 66 resin formulated for improved impact strength. Also available in black as R228. It is an injection molding grade formulated to retain the inherent processing advantages of unreinforced Nylon 66 while enhancing rigidity, strength, and heat resistance. Vydyne R220/R228 maintains the chemical resistance typical of nylon to a wide variety of chemicals, gasoline, oils, greases, and solvents. Vydyne R220/R228 resins utilize a unique mineral reinforced nylon system developed by Ascend Performance Materials to satisfy the market need for a high-rigidity thermoplastic as an alternative to certain metals.Vydyne R220/R228 resins offer more uniform molded part strength and performance as well as wider latitude in part design.Vydyne R220/R228 resins are the workhorses for Ascend Performance Materials full line of mineral reinforced nylon resins, providing the best overall balance of properties. Vydyne R220/R228 are heat stabilized and designed to provide increased ductility and reduced melt viscosity vs. unreinforced materials. This ductility improvement results in tougher, more impact resistant molded parts. The reduction in melt viscosity enhances overall ease of injection molding, resulting in minor reductions in tensile strength, modulus, and heat distortion temperature. Parts from Vydyne R220/R228 have successfully withstood paint bake oven cycles without significant loss of either dimensional stability or part properties.

Vydyne R533 series of 33% glass fiber reinforced nylons are general purpose, injection molding grades which are lubricated for good machine feed, flow and mold release. Vydyne R533 series resins are members of a wide range of glass reinforced resins supplied by Ascend Performance Materials. Other glass fiber loadings available include 13% and 43%. Vydyne R533 series resins have tensile strength and modulus properties just below aluminum and zinc and can replace these metals in numerous applications due to an excellent balance of properties.Reduction in production costs, energy consumption and part weight are key advantages of Vydyne glass reinforced nylon 6,6 resins over aluminum and/or zinc die cast parts. Vydyne R533 series is a heat stabilized grade, formulated to minimize the oxidative and thermal degradation of the nylon polymer when exposed to elevated temperatures for extended periods of time. Vydyne R533H provides improved retention of physical properties under exposure to long-term heat.Vydyne R533 series of resins have been used for many under-the-hood automotive applications, motor housings for power tools and garden appliances.
This resin system offers excellent thermal stability & performance at elevated temperatures (> 300°C). The laminates made using ABRON BR732 system exhibit outstanding toughness & moisture resistance. This resin system can be used for the manufacture of composites where high temperature resistance & good mechanical properties at elevated temperatures are desired.
ABRON PIR-15 resin system has been developed for the manufacture of advanced composites for Space, Aerospace & Defense applications. This Polyimide based polymer can be used as a matrix material at temperatures upto 316°C continuous applications and short excursions upto 361°C. Of all the High Temperature materials this polyimide displays exceptional behavior in terms of processing properties, thermo-oxidative stability and retention of mechanical properties at temperatures in the 300°C – 316°C range. The main applications of this resin system is in the manufacture of composites for aircraft industry for engine ducts, fan blades, inner cowls, swirl frames, nozzle flaps & fins and bodies of missiles, etc.
AMICURE PACM curing agent is an unmodified cycloaliphatic amine. It has been designed for use as an alternative to aromatic amines in the elevated temperature cure of liquid epoxy resins.
