COTSET is a phenol formaldehyde resin which is activated by ester. It is used for making mould & cores production suitable for ferrous steel & nonferrous casting. COTSET PART A is a highly alkaline phenolic resin. COTACT PART B is an ester. The benefits are it has excellent dimensional accuracy, it has high mould & core strength, it has good breakdown properties, it has low emission of fumes during pouring, it has superior casting finish, it has good resistence to sagging and further has faster rate of production.
COTSOL is an acid cured Phenol formaldehyde resin. This is two part acid cured cold set system used for production of large mould and cores in ferrous and non ferrous casting. Conventional alkyd resin system require higher setting time up to 70-80 minutes, whereas COTSOL has faster setting time up to 45 - 50 minutes which enables production of mould at faster rate. It has good hot strengths compared to alkyd binder systems, hence minimum metallurgical defects.
COTTEC is a water soluble alkaline phenolic resin which is mixed with sand & then hardened by gassing with carbon dioxide. The benefits are it is non flammable, water based system, it is exceptionally low free phenol & formaldehyde, it offers good post-casting knock down properties and further no effluent is generated. Although the COTTEC process is designed for mechanised production, it is also suited to manual bench preparation of cores & moulds.
CR-250 is an unmodified liquid epoxy resin based on Bisphenol A and Epiclorohydrine. It finds applications in castings, encapsulations, floorings, potting, adhesives, laminating, reinforced plastics, filament windings, coatings & electro technical requirements. It is used in room temperature curing systems for casting, potting, encapsulation of transformers, solenoid coils, capacitors, switchgear components, insulators, instrument transformers, electronic circuits etc. It is soluble in alcohols, esters, ketones, glycol ethers and aromatic hydrocarbons and is compatible with reactive and non reactive diluents, plasticizers and other modified epoxy resins.
Durene is an aromatic hydrocarbon used as a solvent. It is also an intermediate in the manufacture of pyromellitic acid, which is used for manufacturing curing agents, adhesives and coating materials. It is used in the manufacture of some raw materials for engineering plastics (polyimides) and cross-linking agent for alkyd resins.
Equate is a polymer seed film.
GAYFUR Furfural resin cement, has been turned the nearest approach to completely corrosion resistant cement, it is versatile cement in the entire range, which would not only with sand non -oxidizing acids, solvents, salts and grease but also alkalis and detergents at temperatures up to 170°C. This cement made it possible to use single cement to lent greater versatility to the design processing equipment and structures providing protection against future changes in processing as well as errors in existing operation.
Hexene is a higher olefin, or alkene. The "Hex" is derived from the fact that there are 6 carbon atoms in the molecule, while the "ene" suffix denotes that two carbon atoms are connected via a double bond. There are several isomers of hexene, depending on the position of the double bond and the branching of the carbon chain. One of the most common industrially useful isomers is 1-hexene, an alpha-olefin. Hexene is used as a comonomer in the production of polythene.
Indene is a flammable polycyclic hydrocarbon with chemical formula C9H8. It is composed of a benzene ring fused with a cyclopentene ring. This aromatic liquid is colorless although samples often are pale yellow. The principal industrial use of indene is in the production of indene/coumarone thermoplastic resins.
Nafion is a sulfonated tetrafluoroethylene based fluoropolymer-copolymer. It is the first of a class of synthetic polymers with ionic properties. It has found use in fuel cells, electrochemical devices, chlor-alkali production, metal-ion recovery, water electrolysis, plating, surface treatment of metals, batteries, sensors, Donnan dialysis cells, drug release, gas drying or humidifaction, and superacid catalysis for the production of fine chemicals.
