Sodium Alpha Olefin Sulfonate

Sodium Alpha Olefin Sulfonate is produced from sulphonation of alpha olefin, a petroleum product. It is one of the active matters used in detergents. It is an effective emulsifier and has excellent foaming and detergency characteristics. It is superior to conventional detergent active with regard to cold water solubility, foaming and detergency in hard water.

Properties Suppliers
Sodium Perborate Tetrahydrate

Sodium Perborate Tetrahydrate is an important ingredient of many household laundry detergent powders, laundry bleach additive products and automatic machine dish wash powders.Sodium perborate tetrahydrate is a white crystalline odorless powder. Sodium perborate tetrahydrate has poor water solubility, 23g/L, is non-flammable and non-explosive. Sodium perborate tetrahydrate solutions in water are slightly basic. Sodium perborate tetrahydrate has oxidizing properties.Sodium perborate tetrahydrate is manufactured from borax, sodium hydroxide and hydrogen peroxide.

Properties Suppliers
1,3-Dimethyl-2-Imidazolidinone

1,3-Dimethyl-2-imidazolidinone is a cyclic urea used as a high-boiling polar aprotic solvent. It is colourless, transparent, highly polar and has high thermal and chemical stability. It is a homolog of the related solvent DMPU.It can is used in pesticides, dyes, paints, pharmaceuticals, polymers, high-quality polyamide, high-energy battery electrolyte, ink, catalysts, drug synergists, special detergents.

Properties Suppliers
Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose

Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose is a cellulose derivative obtained by chemically modificating the natural cellulose. It is one of the most important water soluble polymers. It is widely used in food-making, detergent, paper making, oil-drilling, textile, dyeing, ceramics, construction, paint, welding, battery, medicine, tobacco, toothpaste, cosmetics.

Properties Suppliers
Triethanolamine Lauryl Sulfate

Triethanolamine Lauryl Sulfate is the triethanolamine salt of Lauryl Sulfate. It is a viscous, yellow liquid. In cosmetics and personal care products, TEA-Lauryl Sulfate is used in the formulation of a variety of products including shampoos, bath products, hair dyes and colors, shaving creams, and cleansing products.

Properties Suppliers
2,2,4,4,6,8,8-Heptamethylnonane

2,2,4,4,6,8,8-Heptamethylnonane is used as a detergent cleansing agent, emulsifier, and thickening agent in cosmetics.

Properties Suppliers
Carboxyl Methyl Cellulose (CMC)

CMC is used in food science as a viscosity modifier or thickener, and to stabilize emulsions in various products including ice cream. As a food additive, it has E number E466. It is also a constituent of many non-food products, such as K-Y Jelly, toothpaste, laxatives, diet pills, water-based paints, detergents, textile sizing and various paper products. It is used primarily because it has high viscosity, is non-toxic, and is non-allergenic. In laundry detergents it is used as a soil suspension polymer designed to deposit onto cotton and other cellulosic fabrics creating a negatively charged barrier to soils in the wash solution. CMC is used as a lubricant in non-volatile eye drops (artificial tears). Sometimes it is methyl cellulose (MC) which is used, but its non-polar methyl groups (-CH

Properties Suppliers
Ethylenediaminetetraacetic Acid

Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid is a polyamino carboxylic acid and a colourless, water-soluble solid. Its conjugate base is named ethylenediaminetetraacetate. It is widely used to dissolve scale. Its usefulness arises because of its role as a hexadentate ligand and chelating agent, i.e. its ability to "sequester" metal ions such as Ca2+ and Fe3+. In the textile industry, it prevents metal ion impurities from modifying colours of dyed products. In the pulp and paper industry, EDTA inhibits the ability of metal ions, especially Mn2+, from catalyzing the disproportionation of hydrogen peroxide, which is used in "chlorine-free bleaching." In similar manner, EDTA is added to some food as a preservative or stabilizer to prevent catalytic oxidative decolouration, which is catalyzed by metal ions. In personal care products, it is added to cosmetics to improve their stability toward air. It is used to bind metal ions in the alternative medical practice of chelation therapy, e.g., for mercury and lead poisoning. It is used in a similar manner to remove excess iron from the body. In the laboratory, EDTA is widely used for scavenging metal ions. In biochemistry and molecular biology, ion depletion is commonly used to deactivate metal-dependent enzymes, either as an assay for their reactivity or to suppress damage to DNA or proteins. In analytical chemistry, EDTA is used in complexometric titrations and analysis of water hardness or as a masking agent to sequester metal ions that would interfere with the analyses.
