Stachyose

Stachyose is a tetrasaccharide consisting of two α-D-galactose units, one α-D-glucose unit, and one β-D-fructose unit. Stachyose is naturally found in numerous vegetables and plants. It is less sweet than sucrose, at about 28% on a weight basis. It is mainly used as a bulk sweetener or for its functional oligosaccharide property.

Sucralose

Sucralose is a zero-calorie artificial sweetener. It is approximately 600 times as sweet as sucrose, twice as sweet as saccharin, and 3.3 times as sweet as aspartame. It is stable under heat and over a broad range of pH conditions. Therefore, it can be used in baking or in products that require a longer shelf life. The commercial success of sucralose-based products stems from its favorable comparison to other low-calorie sweeteners in terms of taste, stability, and safety. Sucralose is used as a replacement for, or in combination with, other artificial or natural sweeteners such as aspartame, acesulfame potassium or high-fructose corn syrup. It is used in products such as candy, breakfast bars and soft drinks. It is also used in canned fruits wherein water and sucralose take the place of much higher calorie corn syrup based additives. Sucralose is a highly heat-stable artificial sweetener, allowing it to be used in many recipes with little or no sugar. Sucralose is available in a granulated form that allows for same-volume substitution with sugar.

Corn Syrup

Corn syrup is a food syrup, which is made from the starch of maize and composed mainly of glucose. Corn syrup is used in foods to soften texture, add volume, prevent crystallization of sugar, and enhance flavor. Corn syrup is distinct from high-fructose corn syrup, created when corn syrup undergoes enzymatic processing that produces a sweeter compound containing higher levels of fructose.

Properties Suppliers
D-Fructose

D-Fructose is a simple monosaccharide found in many foods. It is one of the three important dietary monosaccharides along with glucose and galactose. The organic fructose molecule was first discovered by Augustin-Pierre Dubrunfaut in 1847. Honey, tree fruits, berries, melons, and some root vegetables contain significant amounts of molecular fructose, usually in combination with glucose, stored in the form of sucrose.

Properties Suppliers
D-Mannitol

D-Mannitol is a organic compound. This polyol is used as an osmotic diuretic agent and a weak renal vasodilator. It was originally isolated from the secretions of the flowering ash, called manna after their resemblance to the Biblical food. In plants, it is used to induce osmotic stress. It is used clinically in osmotherapy to reduce acutely raised intracranial pressure until more definitive treatment can be applied. It is also used to treat patients with oliguric renal failure. It can also be used as a facilitating agent for the transportation of pharmaceuticals directly into the brain. It is commonly used in the circuit prime of a heart lung machine during cardiopulmonary bypass. It is also the first drug of choice for the treatment of acute glaucoma in veterinary medicine. It does not stimulate an increase in blood glucose, and is therefore used as a sweetener for people with diabetes, and in chewing gums.

Properties Suppliers
Erythritol

Erythritol is a natural sugar alcohol .It occurs naturally in fruits and fermented foods. It is a unique low calorie bulk sweetener. It is also used in polymers, fine chemicals and pharmaceutical intermediates.

Properties Suppliers
Galactitol

Galactitol is a sugar alcohol. It is the reduction product of galactose. It is produced from galactose in a reaction catalyzed by aldose reductase. It is used as sweetener in alcoholic drink, also used in medicine.
