Brazed Plate Heat Exchanger

With the BAHX offering around 10 times more heat transfer surface area and up to 20 times more ‘UA’ than a tubular unit, the result is a heat exchanger of superior performance in every respect. The Core-in-Kettle® also offers all the additional benefits afforded by Brazed Aluminum Heat Exchangers, including thermal design that allows close temperature approaches down to 2°F (1°C), which in turn yields power savings through reduced compressor horsepower and increased plant capacity. Reducing the temperature approach from 15°F to 3°F in the evaporator will reduce horsepower needs by 15%.
