Sparkler Filter consists of a filter cartridge assembly having material of construction Mild steel or stainless steel 304, 316, 316L filter plates, support screen, having interlocking cups and fitted in the Main shell tank. Molten Sulphur Filters are used for filtration in sulphuric acid & sulphonation plants. Horizontal pressure leaf filter for molten sulphur filtration are available in following two versions such as shell retraction design and bundle retraction design. In shell retraction design leaf remains steady and shell is retracted to & fro. In bundle Retraction Design Shell is steady and leaf bundle is retracted to and fro. The filtration area is from 5 m2 to 200 m2. Initially the filter is precoated with filteraid (kieselguhr or perlite). After precoating molten sulphur from sulphur pits is fed to the filter for filtration of ash. After the filtration cake is dreid with steam.

Agitated Nutche Filter can be constructed mostly the material in contact with the product is usually Stainless Steel. However these Filters can also be manufactured from stainless Steel alloys or Nickel Alloys such as Hastelloy C 22.
