1-Butene is an organic compound and one of the isomers of butene. It is used as organic synthesis. It is also used in the production of linear plasticizers, oxo-alcohols, motor fuels, lubricants, automotive additives, biodegradble surfactants, paper size, and in a wide range of specialty applications in the production of mercaptans, flavors and fragrances, alkyl metals, halides, alkyl silanes.
