Anisoyl Chloride is an acyl halide, specifically an aromatic acyl chloride, and may be formed from anisic acid by replacing a hydroxyl group with a chloride group. It is used as an intermediate in making dyes and medicines. Anisoyl Chloride is used as an intermediate for the synthesis of pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and other organic compounds.
