Gemfibrozil is a lipid-regulating agent that lowers elevated serum lipids primarily by decreasing serum triglycerides with a variable reduction in total cholesterol.Symptoms of overdose include abdominal cramps, diarrhea, joint and muscle pain, nausea, and vomiting.
