Gentamicin Sulfate

Molecule Structure Image

Gentamicin Sulfate is the sulfate salt of gentamicin C1, gentamicin C2, and gentamicin C1Awhich are produced by the growth of Micromonospora purpura. Gentamicin Sulfate is a broad spectrum bactericidal, with activity against gram negative and gram positive organisms including Pseudomonas. It is stable over a wide range of pH and temperature and can be autoclaved. It is used for the treatment of superficial infections of the eye caused by susceptible bacteria.
