Iopamidol Properties




Iopamidol is in a group of drugs called radiopaque contrast agents. Iopamidol contains iodine, a substance that absorbs x-rays. Iopamidol is used to help diagnose certain disorders of the heart, brain, blood vessels, and nervous system. It is also used for the angiography throughout the cardiovascular system, including cerebral and peripheral arteriography, coronary arteriography and ventriculography, pediatric angiocardiography, selective visceral arteriography and aortography, peripheral venography (phlebography).
