Oxolinic acid is a quinolone antibiotic.It Oxolinic Acid.It works by inhibiting the enzyme DNA gyrase. It also acts as a dopamine reuptake inhibitor and has stimulant effects in mice.It is efficacious against Gram negative bacterial pathogens of fish,used in the treatment of urinary tract infections.
