Air Fin Coolers

Air Fin Coolers or Air cooled Heat Exchangers are Heat Exchangers to exchange the Heat between Air/Gas on one side & Air/Gas/liquid on other side. Air/Gas have very low heat transfer co-efficient. Low Heat Transfer Co-efficient results in requirement of Large Surface Area for a conventional Shell & Tube Type of Heat Exchangers for a fixed Heat Transfer Rate. This results in a huge size of Heat Exchanger. To overcome the Huge Size requirement, area available on Air/Gas side is enhanced with help of External Fins. The basic idea is to provide a very large heat transfer area in a relatively small area. Various Types of Fins are used depending on the Air/Gas to be cooled, Fouling Nature of the Air/Gas, Area Availability etc.

Combined Nitrogen Generator

Combined Nitrogen Generator produces Nitrogen and Zero Air of GC grade purity sufficient for use with up to 2 GCs. It employs pressure swing adsorption technology to produce continuous supply of high purity gas. An oil free air compressor delivers filtered compressed air to a bed of Carbon Molecular Sieve and activated alumina. The adsorbent bed alternates between purification and regeneration mode. Oxygen, moisture and other contaminants are removed to deliver pure, dry Nitrogen gas for use.

Sulphuric Acid Plant

Sulphuric Acid Plant includes Sulphuric Acid Concentration plant and Sulphuric Acid Dilution plant. Concentration of sulphuric acid is mostly performed under vacuum in order to reduce the operating temperature, especially for high concentrations. The plant comprises of equipments wherin the wetted parts are made up of Borosilicate glass 3.3, Fluoropolymers (PTFE, PFA, FEP, PVDF, PP, etc), High Nickel alloys, Graphite & exotic metals (Ta, Ti, Nb, etc.). Many of the processes and applications utilizing sulphuric acid require weaker acid than this. As a result, dilution equipment is often necessary in order to meet the requirement for this weaker acid. During dilution, considerable heat is generated depending on the extent of dilution desired. The heat liberated sometimes is sufficient to produce boiling of the acid and so, provision is made for the re-circulation of a portion of cooled dilute acid, thus ensuring working at controlled temperature.

Concentrated Nitric Acid CNA Plant

Concentrated Nitric Acid CNA Plant is used for the concentration of nitric acid. Industrially manufactured Nitric acid is obtained as a weak acid solution, at a concentration of about 65%-67% w/w (max.), which is of no use. Owing to the physical behaviour of the nrtric acid / water system, it is not possible to remove excess water from this weak acid by a fractional distillation process because this solution forms an azeotrope, a constant acid / water boiling composition at about 68% w/w. acid. To concentrate this acid further an extractive distillation process by adding concentrated sulphuric acid needs to be employed. While the water goes this sulphuric acid gets diluted, which can be again re-concentrated and reused for the concentration of dilute nitric acid again. Concentrated Nitric Acid CNA ( i.e. high-strength nitric acid at 98-99% w/w.) is an important chemical for chemical & pharmaceutical industries in general (like polymers & plastics, dyestuff, bulk drugs, explosives, fertilizers and other important organic nitro-compounds).

Laboratory Tubular Split-Open Furnace

Laboratory Tubular Split-Open Furnace has been primarily developed for use in catalysis R & D labs and chemical engineering pilot plants. Each furnace has a height of 6 inches and outer diameter of 5 inches.The furnace weighs about four kilograms. The inner tube is constructed of metal block of special alloy having high thermal conductivity which ensures high heat transfer rates allowing good temperature control. The construction is split-open type. It can be electrically heated up to 550°C.
