A Schulman appoints Qwest communication CFO as new VP, finance

AKRON, US: A Schulman Inc said that it has appointed John Richardson (71), as its new executive vice president for finance, effective 1 November. He recently served as chief financial officer (CFO) at Qwest Communications International. He will succeed Joseph Levanduski ((54), who joined A Schulman in 2011 and currently serves as executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Richardson joined the Qwest Communications in 2003 as senior VP & controller and also serving as chief accounting officer. He had previously served in progressively senior financial roles at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and held numerous roles in the company, crossing a 35-year career at Goodyear. Richardson retired from Goodyear in 2002.

"John is a perfect leader, who has an excellent track record of enhancing an organization's essential value creation proposition," said Joseph Gingo, chairman, president and CEO of A Schulman.

"We recognize Joe for his many contributions and wish him every continued achievement as he has chosen to pursue new career opportunities," added Gingo.
