American Chemical Society announces 2012 officers

American Chemical Society announces 2012 officers
Bassam Z Shakhashiri, President, ACS.

WASHINGTON, US: The American Chemical Society (ACS), the world’s largest scientific society, has announced its officers for 2012. Bassam Z Shakhashiri will be the President. Nancy B Jackson will serve as the Immediate Past President. The other board of directors are William F Carroll and Marinda Li Wu.

The list of directors include Pat N Confalone, Dennis Chamot, Bonnie A Charpentier, Valerie J Kuck, Kent J Voorhees, Peter K Dorhout, Kathleen M Schulz, Larry K Krannich, George M Bodner, Neil D Jespersen and Barbara A Sawrey. Madeleine Jacobs will be the Executive Director where as Flint H Lewis and Brian A Bernstein will serve as Secretary and Treasurer respectively.
