Aquatech bags zero liquid discharge power plant contract in Mississippi

CANONSBURG, US: Aquatech, a global leader in water purification technology for industrial and infrastructure markets, has been awarded a contract for a zero liquid discharge (ZLD) system, integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) power plant in Kemper County, Mississippi. Aquatech will design, fabricate, erect, and start up a complete make-up water treatment facility and wastewater treatment facilities for this project.

The water & wastewater turnkey system will include a 300 GPM make-up system, a 700 GPM mobile ion exchange demineralization system, a 2 x 50 per cent 400 GPM brine concentrator, 40 GPM forced circulation crystallizer and filter press. The power plant is owned by Mississippi Power Company. Its design takes into account a wide range of environmental considerations.
