Asahi Kasei licenses polymethyl methacrylate manufacturing technology to PTT

TOKYO, JAPAN: Asahi Kasei Chemicals has made a decision to grant a license of its manufacturing technology for polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) to PTT Public Company Limited (PTT) of Thailand. The technology license enables PTT to achieve its plan to produce 40,000 tonne of PMMA per year using MMA from PTTAC, while enhancing PTTAC’s MMA derivatives business. Asahi Kasei Chemicals will continue to strengthen its relationship with PTT through this license, in addition to the partnership in operation of PTTAC.
