BASF opened its second plant in Vietnam with a ceremony. Situated in the north of the country, the site will produce concrete admixtures of the MasterGlenium product line. BASF thus follows the growing demand for products of its Master Builders Solutions brand in the region.
HANOI, VIETNAM: BASF SE has inaugurated its new production plant for concrete admixtures in the northern province of Bac Giang, Vietnam. The new plant will allow BASF to better meet the increasing demands for high quality construction chemicals products in Vietnam. This is the company’s second construction chemicals plant in Vietnam, complementing the existing plant in Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park, Binh Duong province.
Located at the Van Trung Industrial Park in Bac Giang province, the plant is equipped with production units, a laboratory for product quality control as well as warehousing facilities. There, BASF produces both standard and custom-made performance admixtures from the MasterGlenium product line under the Master Builders Solutions brand.
The company’s construction chemicals have been used in many popular construction projects such as the Noi Bai T2 Airport and the Nhat Tan Bridge.
“The new plant enhances our flexibility to serve our customers with timely supply and shorter lead times, especially in the northern part of Vietnam,” said Christian Mombaur, head of construction chemicals Asia Pacific, BASF. This plant will enable us to stay closer to our customers and offer solutions to meet the growing demands in specialized construction chemicals, especially for building multi-story buildings and long-lasting infrastructure construction projects.”
