LUDWIGSHAFEN, GERMANY/SHANGHAI, CHINA: BASF SE inaugurates a new plant for the producing of polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) at its site in Shanghai, China.
The plant will produce PVP K30 powder, a polymer utilized as a base for many applications including pharma excipients, cleansers, beauty care products and specialized applications. The generation of the new PVP plant grows its contact with customers in Asia-Pacific, particularly in China, with proceeded with dependable and fantastic supply.
PVP can be utilized in a wide scope of applications because of its features:
- Easily soluble in water and solvents
- Excellent in glue properties; improves solvency of dynamic pharmaceutical fixings (APIs)
- Non-disturbing to the skin; do not pose a health hazard
