BASF increases price for butanediol and derivatives in Europe


LUDWIGSHAFEN, GERMANY: With immediate effect or as existing contracts permit, BASF SE has increased its European selling prices for the products: 1,4 Butanediol (BDO) by 200 EUR/mt, Tetrahydrofuran (THF) by 250 EUR/mt, Polytetramethylene ether glycol (PolyTHF) by 300 EUR/mt, N-Methyl-2-Pyrrolidone (NMP) by 200 EUR/mt, N-Ethylpyrrolidone (NEP) by 200 EUR/mt and Gamma Butyrolactone (GBL) by 200 EUR/mt. 

BDO and its derivatives are used for producing engineering plastics, polyurethanes, solvents and elastic spandex fibre. The price adjustment ensures that BASF can continue to offer quality products and services to its customers.
