SHANGHAI, CHINA: BASF broke ground for its new formulation and packaging plant in Rudong, Jiangsu Province, China. When fully operational in 2014, the plant will have an annual capacity of 10,000 metric tonne.

“At BASF, we are working together with farmers to help solve one of the world’s most important issues: feeding an ever growing population. With an innovation-driven product portfolio, such as the AgCelence portfolio for plant health, we help farmers to increase the yield and quality of their crops so that they can provide consumers with the safe, high quality food they expect,” said Dr Raman Ramachandran, Senior Vice President, Crop Protection Asia Pacific, BASF.
