BASF to increase paper wet-end, water chemicals prices in EMEA

LUDWIGSHAFEN, GERMANY: BASF has decided to increase prices for paper wet-end and water chemicals in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa), effective October 1, 2018.

For the following product lines BASF will implement a minimum price increase:

Cationic Polyacrylamides              +8 percent
Anionic Polyacrylamides               +7 percent
Polyamines, Polydadmac              +8 percent
Polymeric Sizing Agents                +4 percent
Polyvinylamines                             +5 percent
Polyethyleneimines                        +5 percent
Scale and Foam Control                +5 percent
Dyes                                               product specific

This is necessary due to continued increases in the cost of key raw materials, transportation, and energy, as well as restricted availability of selected raw materials.
