Bayer CropScience gets approval for EverGol in Canada

MONHEIM, GERMANY: Bayer CropScience has been granted the first regulatory approval worldwide for its new fungicidal seed treatment solution EverGol in Canada. The product sets a new standard in the control of Rhizoctonia solani, the most important disease in the Canadian canola, a summer oilseed rape crop. It is planned to launch EverGol in Canada by 2012 end.

“The registration of EverGol underlines our role as a leading provider of crop protection agents and seed in the oilseed rape business,” said Matthias Haug, responsible for the global seed treatment business, Bayer CropScience. Bayer CropScience is developing customer-oriented solutions on the basis of EverGol/ Emesto brand family for other economically significant crops beyond canola such as potatoes, soybeans, corn, cereals, cotton, rice and pulses. The market launches for these products are scheduled for 2012 onwards.
