Bayer raises prices for polyurethane raw materials in Europe

LEVERKUSEN, GERMANY: Bayer MaterialScience AG is raising the selling prices for all products of its polyurethane segment in the Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) region by EUR 0.30 per kilogram, effective May 1, 2011. Substantially higher raw material and utilities costs are forcing Bayer MaterialScience to pass on these increases to the market.

However, the company plans to fulfill current contractual agreements.
