MONTREAL, CANADA: BioAmber Inc said it has recruited Mario Saucier as its new chief financial officer, effective 4 January, succeeding Andrew Ashworth, who acted as a CFO on an interim basis.
Most recently, Saucier has been CFO of Gestion MB5, privately-held holding company for Norduyn Inc and Transtex Composite Inc, since 2014. He was the CFO of Englobe from 2008 to 2013 and the chief accounting officer of Quebecor World from 2005 to 2008. Earlier he has held various position at Bombardier Transport Group.
Saucier will lead all finance activities of the company including treasury, budget planning, investor relations, information systems and will play a leading role in the company’s growth initiatives, it said.
“Mario is an entrepreneurial, hands-on executive with tremendous energy and we anticipate an excellent fit with the rest of the management team. He has the skills and experience needed to help guide our growth as an operating company,” said Jean-Francois Huc, CEO, BioAmber.
