MULHEIM AN DER RUHR, GERMANY: Brenntag AG said it is set to expand its management board to five members, wherein Brenntag managers Karsten Beckmann, Markus Klahn and Henri Nejade were appointed to the board, in addition to serving members Steven Holland (CEO) and Georg Muller (CFO), effective 1 July. The company also said that William Fidler is to retire from the management board when his service contract expires on 30 June.

Karsten Beckmann, CEO of Brenntag Europe, Middle East and Africa, will be responsible for the Europe region, in the management board.

Also Markus Klahn, CEO at Brenntag North America, will take over from William Fidler the responsibility for North America region, in the management board.

Moreover, Henri Nejade, CEO at Brenntag Asia Pacific, will be responsible for the Asia Pacific region in the newly formed management board.

Holland, in addition to his existing responsibilities, will take over from William Fidler the responsibility for Latin America region.

“This step reflects the ongoing global growth of Brenntag which continues to expand across all regions, industry sectors and applications. The new management board members bring extensive additional expertise to the board. The supervisory board believes the expansion of the management board provides even more focus for the strategic development of the group,” said Stefan Zuschke, chairman, supervisory board.

“We are delighted to welcome the new members to the management board which follows a planned evolution of the board and successful development and implementation of succession planning throughout the regions, designed to support our ambitious growth plans,” said Holland.
