Aquamin & Marigot provide as many as 74 plant and marine-based minerals that help in the development of naturally derived ingredients in humans, animals and plants. Brenntag will help the companies bring their product to the people of Denmark.

ESSEN, GERMANY: Brenntag Food & Nutrition has signed a new distribution agreement with Marigot for the exclusive distribution of Marigot’s range of plant and marine based minerals in Denmark as of February 2021. Marigot’s Aquamin range has built a strong reputation as a clean, natural, and bioactive source of marine multi minerals. The new agreement is in line with Marigots ambition to grow the Aquamin business in food, beverage, dietary supplements, and lifestyle nutrition markets. The good reputation and track record of growth of Brenntag Food & Nutrition in these markets and a strong position in Denmark contributed to Marigot’s decision to establish a new exclusive partnership.

“We are very proud to represent Marigot on the Aquamin range. Thanks to our close contact to the food and dietary supplement industry we will be able to create value for our customer with this natural source of Calcium, Magnesium and trace marine elements,” said Mia Mahkonen, business manager Brenntag Food & Nutrition Nordic.

“There is increasing demand for natural clean label, sustainable and scientifically supported ingredients which brings added health benefits to products,” said David O'Leary, commercial manager, Marigot Ltd.

“We anticipate growing demand for our high-quality ingredients, especially in fortified food and beverages, dietary supplements and lifestyle nutrition. Our extensive scientific research supporting Aquamin continues to grow and we are confident of seeing further success in our target categories. With the UK & Ireland market at the forefront of many of the exciting industry trends, Marigot’s new partnership with Brenntag Food & Nutrition in the Nordic region is an important part of our overall growth strategy.”
