CB&I awarded hydrogen plant contract in Kansas, US

THE WOODLANDS, US: CB&I has been awarded a contract valued in excess of $40 million by Coffeyville Resources Refining & Marketing LLC. The project scope includes the engineering, procurement, fabrication and field construction of a 22 million standard cubic feet per day hydrogen plant at its refinery in Coffeyville, Kansas, US.

“This plant will supply high-purity hydrogen for the refinery’s hydroprocessing needs. The plant will utilize our proprietary HYFORMING box furnace technology for steam methane reforming, which provides superior process performance and reliable operation. CB&I’s expertise in modular fabrication and supply will help us meet the deadline for this project,” said Daniel McCarthy, President of Technology operating group, CB&I.
