Clariant to open its first competence haircare center in Brazil

MUTTENZ, SWITZERLAND: Clariant International Ltd said that it will open its first global competence center haircare in Sao Paulo, Brazil, which is scheduled in the first quarter of 2017. This new facility positions the firm's hair care specialists at the heart of the quickest developing hair care market globally and closer to the large customers in the region.

With this investment, Clariant continues its strategic focus on innovation through R&D and its aim of continuing to develop highly innovative products and solutions with a strong focus on customer needs. It will be part of Clariant's business unit industrial & consumer specialties (ICS).

This center will house a group of Clariant hair care experts, application and formulation labs, and conference space. It will provide the in-house capacities and pioneering technical expertise for close co-operation with outside professionals and a system of local and global partners, universities and institutes. It will act as a hub for leading global innovation projects that can help formulators address both their own product development needs and the changing hair care trends of consumers.

"This haircare centre will permit us to truly reinforce our presence in the worldwide hair care community and to enhance our in-depth understanding of the hair care market and trends. We look forward to further expanding our network as such influences are key to constantly advance our hair care innovation to meet the trends and needs of customers and consumers both here and around the world," said Christian Vang, head of business unit, ICS.
