SHANGHAI, CHINA/MUNICH, GERMANY: Clariant said that its catalyst business unit has further cooperated with Wuxi Xiyuan Engineering Technology Co Ltd, to launch a formaldehyde manufacturer for China.

Innovative and sustainable exhaust gas treatment solutions. This state-of-the-art exhaust emission control solution combines the latest technology from Wuxi Xiyuan with Clariant's high-performance EnviCat VOC catalyst, designed for formaldehyde manufacturers using the silver process.

Although the production technology based on Clariant's new generation FAMAX iron-molybdenum-based catalyst is more efficient and more efficient, at present, the traditional process of using polycrystalline silver is still widely used in China. Therefore, Clariant and Wuxi Xiyuan are increasing cooperation to help manufacturers meet the latest exhaust emission control regulations.

Wuxi Xiyuan is a leader in the direct oxidation of methanol to formaldehyde production through fixed bed catalytic reactions. The company has extensive experience in the production of formaldehyde using silver-catalyzed process technology. Due to the enormous benefits of iron-molybdenum-based catalytic solutions, the company is currently focusing on this technology area.

Clariant has a long history and extensive experience in the use of catalyst technology for tail gas treatment. Numerous production facilities around the world benefit from the high conversion and cost effectiveness of EnviCat VOC. With the adaptable design of the catalyst and Clariant's advanced manufacturing capabilities, EnviCat VOC can be customized to the user's process and requirements to ensure optimum efficiency and performance.

“We are honored to provide reliable and sustainable solutions for harmful exhaust emissions for silver formaldehyde manufacturers. Through close cooperation with Wuxi Xiyuan, we will further develop domestically. Formaldehyde manufacturers provide support to ensure they meet the latest emissions regulations,” said Chen Zhipeng, Director of Clariant's Catalyst Business Unit in China.

“With our extensive experience in the catalytic process of silver, we have a precise understanding of customer needs. We have worked closely with Clariant to launch this perfect solution,” added Liu Xiaoli, President of Wuxi Xiyuan.
