MUTTENZ, SWITZERLAND: Clariant International Ltd said that Dr Mathias Lutgendorf (60), will step down as the company’s executive committee member. As a mutual agreement he will leave Clariant, effective 31 December, and his successor will be announced shortly.
Mathias Lutgendorf was appointed member of the executive committee in April 2009. His responsibilities included the business units’ additives, pigments, masterbatches, functional minerals, as well as group procurement and operational excellence. In addition, he was responsible for the regions Europe, Middle East & Africa and Japan.
“I want to sincerely thank Mathias Lutgendorf for his strong commitment and dedication during his more than six years with our company. To be emphasized, are his achievements during the restructuring phase, as well as the divestment of the businesses textile, leather and paper chemicals,” said Hariolf Kottmann, CEO, Clariant.
